Guide to our Red Light Collagen Bed

Red Light Therapy Prep:

Step 1: To ensure the best possible results of the red light treatment, it’s beneficial to cleanse the skin thoroughly beforehand. Skin should be free of deodorant, sweat, fragrances, lotions, and makeup. To optimize your results, anti-oxidant creams (vitamins A, E, C, K and Alpha-Lipoic Acid) or Redlight-ST products should be used after cleaning the skin before your session.

Step 2: A red light therapy bed works the same way as a tanning bed (but does not tan because it does not transmit any UV light). You just stand in our red light therapy bed and relax for 12 minutes and the bed will turn off automatically when your session is over.

Step 3: Make sure you moisturize daily. We highly recommend you continue to use antioxidant rich oils or creams between and after each treatment. We do Sell BWL Red Light –ST Steps 1,2,3.

Using technology developed by NASA and supported by over 40 years of independent, scientific research it has now been concluded that there are many benefits gained from exposing the skin to intense red light therapy. Because of its amazing benefits, traditional tanning salons have begun using red light therapy beds as a sort of “reverse tanning bed.”

This type of light therapy has become a breakthrough treatment because unlike cosmetic surgery, red light therapy is non invasive, cost-effective, and risk-free alternative to improving skin’s appearance. Continue reading for everything you will need to know to have a positive, relaxing red light therapy experience.  If you don't see your question listed please contact us!

Q. What can I expect from Red Light Therapy treatments?

A. Treatments using red light will improve skin tone and texture, control pigmentation spots, help reduce pore size, encourage vibrant, healthier-looking skin, and reduce fine lines. Anti-aging red light therapy stimulates circulation and repairs the elastin fibers within tissue to help keep skin firm. Aside from its cosmetic and anti-aging benefits, red light therapy can provide relief from chronic and acute pain including muscle pain, joint pain, arthritis, high blood pressure, tissue and nerve damage, acne, and can decrease injury healing time.  Because red light therapy triggers the body’s own defenses, it actually treats the sources of pain and doesn't just mask the symptoms. red light therapy provides relief from pain and discomfort without the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs or surgery. Overall you will look and feel younger!

Q. Can I use Red Light Therapy with a spray tan?

A. Yes! We actually recommend using Red Light Therapy before your Sunless Spray session to help with the absorption of the sunless solution.

Q. How long is the Red Light Therapy bed?

A. Our bed has a maximum time of 12 minutes.

Q. Is Red Light Therapy safe?

A. There’s absolutely no pain or discomfort during treatment, no medical risk, and no recovery time. Why? Unlike many other treatments – like IPL (Intense Pulsed Light laser), microdermabrasion and chemical peels – there is no initial ‘controlled damage’ done to your skin. Red Light Therapy does not cut, burn, or break the skin as with laser treatments. Long recognized by European dermatologists, FDA-approved as safe. It’s one of the latest and most advanced anti-aging treatments to look younger and better without surgery.

Q. How can I enhance the results of anti-aging red light therapy?

A. It was tested and proven that the use of anti-oxidant vitamin creams with photo rejuvenation treatment give better light therapy effects than using either alone. Anti-oxidant creams (vitamins A, E, C, K and Alpha-Lipoic Acid) may be used after cleaning the skin either before or after a collagen light therapy.

Q. How often do I have to use red light therapy to see results?

A. Everyone reacts differently, depending on their age and the condition of their skin. There are a few immediate changes to the skin, such as cleaner, brighter and a tighter feeling.Recommended therapy schedules are 3-4 days per week, for 4-6 weeks.

After the initial treatment schedule it is recommended to continue 1-2 days per week.

Q. Does the red light bed tan?

A. No. The red light therapy lamps do not transmit any UV light.

Q. How long will my results last after

A. Results depend on the length of treatment and the original conditions being treated. Skin rejuvenation is a dynamic process.

If maintenance treatments are discontinued, a gradual loss of results will occur over time, as with normal skin aging.

How Red Light Therapy Works:

“Red Light Therapy is a technology that has both cosmetic and healing effects. The word “healing” is defined as “the natural process by which the body repairs itself” That is exactly what happens when the body is exposed to Red Light Wavelengths” — Tammy Thompson -Women's Journal

You CAN look years younger, fade age-spots on face and hands, refine pores and calm pain with the non-invasive, skin rejuvenating, anti aging, and anti inflammatory benefits of LED Light Therapy.” — Dr. Oz
